Is it suppose to be this cold? and dry? My hands, Anna's lips, and David's cheeks are so dry I think they are about to crack! We've been lotioned and chapsticked up every time I turn around, but it doesn't seem to be helping:(
David is starting to talk (a little)! Today as I was putting his socks on him, he looked up at me and touched his sock and said, "ock"! After a conversation that went something like this..."Yes! Sock!" "ock" "(smile) your sssssock" "ock" "Your sock goes on your cold toes." "ock" I decided to try for that grand word..."Say Mama, David:)" He just looked at me with twinkling eyes and...giggled! What a cutie! We then began the game of where are your eyes, nose, mouth... He also said "Anda" (Anna) and (of course) Dada very clearly the other night:)
Did anyone else have a wonderful church service yesterday? I was very blessed to be in God's presence and hear an entire message (given by my wonderful, wise husband). It's been awhile since I haven't had to attend to little guy in the nursery and last month I taught the younger kids' Sunday School class. Yesterday, David was fully entertained by Grandma Stone in the nursery and Anna was off to Sunday School so I heard and enjoyed an entire message:) So, I won't give you the whole teaching, but here is a passage and something that God has been dealing in my heart for awhile now...
Therefore gird up your loins of your mind, be sober, and
rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; ...
knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1:13 & 18
The Lord has been settling this precious, simple yet profound truth in my heart. "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Gal. 2:20 I am learning to rest completely in Christ Jesus. Whatever this life brings, I am secure in Him eternally:)
Funny, funny! David just came out of his room with a pair of dirty socks saying, "ock!"
